# Step by Step - How to set-up Develop - For Administrators

${color}[#24394f](We recommend you take the following steps when setting up your Develop activity.

**Step 1 - Create your templates**

**Step 2 - Change terminology**

**Step 3 - Disable roles**

**Step 4 - Enable and disable tags**


* You may want to use tags to add data labels to your Develop activity. This for example, can be useful to tag areas of improvement to enable to filter your data reports. **Step 5 - Using groups**


* You may want to use groups to help categorise your data.  Groups are also helpful for example when you want to schedule observation for a specific group of people such as Teachers/trainers. **Step 6 - Set-up you user CPD plans in Improve**

**Step 7 - Invite your users into their CPD plans and reallocate ownership**

* Consider the users who need access to development activity.  This could include, for example,  those in receipt of CPD activity, line managers and mentors. **Step 8 - Link your users CPD plans to Develop**
