T Level Planner user roles explained

Every user who is given permission to access to the T Level Planner will be allocated a role. Each role has a group of permissions; essentially this role assignment helps you manage what each user can see and do.

Here is a description of standard roles:

Administrator

As an administrator you will be responsible for managing user access and will have additional permission to customise certain functions within the software.

The Association of Colleges (AoC) will be granted access to act as administrator for the T Level Planner.

Owner

Every provider will have at least one owner. This individual will be invited by AoC. As an owner you will have access to enhanced module features. You can invite other users to contribute to your activity, determine the role others will have and if granted by an administrator you can gain access to custom features.

Typically this may be, but is not limited to the Vice Head, T Level Lead or Head of Technical/Vocational qualifications.

Once the provider owner has access to the software they can create several T Level assessments and plans and invite colleagues to take ownership. For example; You create an assessment for Catering T Level and want to make the Curriculum lead for this area the owner so they can invite others to contribute.

Participant

As a participant you will be invited into the software by your owner. You will be able to actively participate by being able to input your contributions. For example; if you have been invited to an assessment you will be able to add, edit and delete your own evaluation or in the case of a plan, create, note comments and progress and manage your own improvements objectives.

Typically this may be, but is not limited to the Head of Pastoral Care, Industry Placement Liaison Officer and or Marketing lead

Reader

As a reader you have access to be able to read the contributions of others. You can read the content you have been re invited into. You will not be able to make changes to any of the input. You are able to contribute to any comments features.

Typically this may be, but is not limited to a Governor, a member of the senior leadership team or Executive Head.

Moderator

As a moderator you will have additional features to allow you to read through the primary input and make comment against it.

Typically this may be, but is not limited to the QA process manager, Contract Team. You can also invite your AoC Relationship Manager to be a moderator.

Approver

As an approver you will have additional features to allow you to read through the primary input, any moderator notes and make comment against it. The approval is almost a statement of status of sign off.

Typically this may be, but is not limited to the Head of Teaching and learning, Head of Curriculum or the Principle.

Super Administrator

In addition to the administrator role, The Department for Education (DfE) also has access to additional Super Administrator functions. In addition to being able to act as an administrator (see below) super administrator permissions allow the DfE to grant additional privilege to turn off some of the administrator functionality, for example, preventing administrators from deleting users.

The T Level implementation team manager at the DfE will be the Super Administrator.
