02 Trusted Standard Self-Assessment - Setting Up the Self-Assessment Tool

1. Import your self-assessment template(s)

The first thing you need to do is to set up your Self-Assessment by importing the required templates. This only needs to be done once and will allow your organisation’s users to contribute as required.
There are two self-assessment templates:
Trusted Standard Level 1 – required for all self-assessments
Trusted Standard Level 2 – only required if you wish to self-assess your organisation against the Trusted Standard Level 2 quality areas. We recommend that organisations start by using the Level 1 template and, once progress has been made with this, consider moving to the Level 2 template if desired.

Step 1

Navigate to the Self-Assessment module and click on Import/Create.

Step 2

A pop-up page will appear. You will see a selection of templates you have permission for. You can preview these before importing.

Step 3

Select the template(s) for the Trusted Standard Level(s) you are working towards. Click Import, and in the Area Config window, click in the Select Partner box and choose your organisation (this should be the only one) then click Create area. The self-assessment template will then show in your list.

2. Inviting colleagues to take part in your self-assessment

We recommend that people from across your organisation are involved in your Trusted Standard self-assessment. Some colleagues may be involved offline, but it can be useful to invite some colleagues to collaborate on your self-assessment and action plan online.

Step 1

From the relevant Self-Assessment template, click into Invite users
Import/Create.

Step 2

If your user has already been added by your administrator, select the tab Invite system user. This will allow you to select a user from a drop-down list.

Import/Create.
If your user has not been added select the Invite new user tab. Your invited users will receive an email to authenticate their identity and reset their password.

Import/Create.

When Selecting Roles for each user, please refer to Appendix A for more detail.

3 . Import your action plan template

After you have imported your self-assessment template(s), the next thing you need to do is to set up your Action Plan by importing the required template. This only needs to be done once and will allow your organisation’s users to contribute as required.
