Service Backup Policy

Objective

• To ensure that Mesma business data is sufficiently backed up to allow for any data recovery.

Scope

The backup policy shall include the following:

• All data used in the operation of Mesma limited

• All client data hosted when using the Software-as-a-Service Product.

Mesma business data

• Mesma utilises third-party cloud systems to host and backup its day-to-day operational business data.

Mesma Software-as-as-Service product

• Client data is hosted on Microsoft Azure Cosmos DB database which is held in UK East and UK West Data centres.

• Back up is performed every 1440 minutes and retained for 336 hours.

• By default, Azure Cosmos BD backups 2 copies of data.

Responsibilities

It is the responsibility of the individual appointed to lead on Microsoft Azure administration to ensure this backup policy is implemented and monitored.

Document control

This Policy will be formally reviewed on an annual basis, as a minimum, or if required changes are identified to address one or more of the following:

• A change in the way Mesma manages or operates its information assets and/or their supporting assets.

• An identified shortcoming in the effectiveness of this Policy, for example as a result of a reported information security incident or an audit finding.
